Come join us on our ZOOM platform for three days of prayer with fasting, beginning January 11 from 7-8pm. A great way to start the year is to consecrate ourselves toward the LORD's purposes. You can access the prayer gatherings on January 11, 12, and 13 on the zoom link on our website. Our prayer gathering will be one hour, but you are free to come and go as needed.

Helpful Suggestions when FASTING this week…
Set aside something specific to ‘give up.’ Whatever it is that you choose it should be important enough to you that you can demonstrate to God that you are serious about focusing your attention on him. [This doesn’t necessarily have to be food, but can include the TV, Internet, a snack food, social media or another activity].
Set aside specific times to be alone with God or with other believers participating in spiritual practices like praying, worshipping and reading Scripture. A specific time is important.
If you have a medical condition that requires you having a regular meal, it is critical that you contact your Doctor before entering into a fast that includes the deprivation of food or drink. This may not be appropriate for everyone. There are other things that you can ‘give-up’ in order to seek the LORD more fully.
Be prepared for ‘mood swings’ as your body adjusts to a different intake level.
If a full-fast is not possible, a partial fast is also appropriate—fruit, vegetables and juice.
Believe that God will meet you in a very special way—Jesus has said; “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
